Over the next three weeks, me and my group are going to attempt to copy 60 seconds of the music video Someone Like You by Adele. We are going to use the same cinematography, mise-en-scene, sound and editing as used between 3:05 and 4:05 of this video. The reason why we decided to use this video is because we all like the black and white effect that has been placed on top of the whole video as it matches the slow song. We also think that this video will be possible to re-create as, when looking at possible videos to copy, they are set in a variety of different complex locations such as in a dancing studio or on a beach, which are locations that I don't have access to. The song consists of a very long edit which I think will be a challenge for our group to do because we have to make sure that everything in the shot is perfect and that there are no mistakes in the cinematography. We have decided to film between 3:05 and 4:05 of the video as we feel as if this uses the most effects due to the use of fading at the end of this time period.
